NHS patients: Now accepting new registrations
If you have been trying to find an NHS dentist in Kidderminster, you will know how difficult it can be. When we checked the NHS Find a Dentist service in October 2026, many practices in Kidderminster were not accepting new adult NHS patients, and some were only taking on children. For many families, that has meant long waits, or going without regular check-ups altogether.
At Kingfisher Dental, our doors are open. We are currently accepting new NHS patients, and there are no catchment areas for NHS dentists in England, so you are free to register with us even though you live in Kidderminster. For many of our patients, a short drive is a small price to pay for a dentist they can rely on for years to come.
Your first visit is a thorough new patient examination. Your dentist will assess your teeth, gums and overall oral health, answer your questions, and agree a clear plan for any treatment you need, with costs explained before anything begins.
At Kingfisher Dental, our team is made up of experienced dentistsz who are passionate about modern dentistry and patient-centred care. We understand that choosing a dentist outside your own town requires a high level of trust, which is why we take the time to understand your needs and create a personalised treatment plan focused on comfort, quality and safety.
As a mixed NHS and private practice, we offer a broad range of treatment under one roof, so patients travelling from Kidderminster can have their routine and more complex care with the same team:
Many Kidderminster patients come to us for cosmetic treatment alongside their routine care. Professional teeth whitening safely lifts years of staining from tea, coffee and everyday life, with results that shop-bought kits cannot match. For chips, small gaps or uneven edges, composite bonding can reshape your teeth in a single visit, without removing healthy tooth structure. Your dentist will talk you through the options that suit your smile and your budget.
If you experience sudden dental pain or trauma, our practice offers emergency dental appointments to address urgent issues promptly. We keep time aside every day for urgent cases such as severe toothache, swelling, a broken tooth or a lost crown, and we will do everything we can to see you the same day.
Call us on 01527 550995 as soon as we open and tell our team you are travelling from Kidderminster, so we can find you the soonest appointment that allows for your journey. Please contact us for current emergency appointment fees. If you are on one of our membership plans, emergency appointments are included in your plan.
If you are unsure whether your problem is urgent, our guide to what counts as a dental emergency explains what needs same-day care and what can safely wait. When we are closed, call NHS 111 for urgent dental advice. If you have facial swelling affecting your breathing, swallowing or eye, call 999 or go to A&E straight away.
To make high-quality dental care accessible year-round, we offer flexible dental membership plans. These plans allow you to maintain your dental health with ease, spreading the cost over time and ensuring you are covered for regular dental check-ups and preventative care.
Our practice is on Evesham Road in Headless Cross, just south of Redditch town centre. From Kidderminster, the quickest route is to follow the A448 east through Bromsgrove, then continue along the Bromsgrove Highway into Redditch. The journey is 16.8 miles and takes around 35 minutes in normal traffic.
If the A448 is busy, an alternative route via Droitwich Spa and the A442 takes around 44 minutes. Whichever way you come, we recommend allowing a little extra time for traffic around Bromsgrove at peak times, and calling us if you are running late.
You can get to know the dentists, hygienists and support staff who will look after you on our team page.
